dammit. silly destructive humans. there is absolutely no reason this couldn't have
at least been moved somewhere. please let some rich preservationist swoop down at the
last minute and save it from the wrecking ball.

I just cannot fathom this. The museum that houses, protects and displays such incredible history should be the very first institution to want to protect this building. It would be like sawing off a leg.

Isabella is probably kicking in her grave about now.

oh, how awful! i guess everyone is making way for the robots. so sad about this! they tore down my favourite old movie theatre in western MA the year after i left and it was such an amazing a gorgeous building with so much history-it was a theatre too. they put in a "multiplex". sometimes i just wanted to the movie there to sit and space out at the beauty of the building. i guess it is good i wasn't there. so sad!

I wish everyone thought as you do. I agree, no excuse to destroy such a significant and intact building. Ooooh to think of all the beautiful houses and buildings torn down just in my city alone, Pittsburgh...and then to imagine the lose all over the USA and world.
