Received an amazing gift, a portrait of my Beloved Athena by Merle, sweet [info]pascalbijou. Her talent for capturing the spirit in her own pure vision never ceases to amaze me. A true original. Thank you so much, dear friend.

Lots going on, mostly all good. Finny is getting older, he has already surprised his vets by sticking around so long...but he needs some teeth removed and we had to put carpet treads on the stairs so he could still make it up and down. We will be nervous when he gets his teeth done next week, but it cannot be put off any longer or he may have bigger problems from it.

Now that the office has been moved upstairs into the studio, we now have an extra room for what was most needed in this Victorian house, closet space! Spent the weekend painting and stenciling, a little bit Moorish, Egyptian, and Victorian-ish dressing room. Inspired by Olana, it still has a long way to go to be over the top, but just a bit at a time for now.

He's curled up in a ball now, so I can actually type without his feet obstructions.

Also preparing for a trip just under a week from now to finally visit the fabulous [info]medievalmuse and her Queen Mab and Sir Frick! Cannot wait.

Leaves me rather teary eyed since it looks so much like Sushi, and his recent passing has not left my mind yet. I am also an AVID collector of winged cats (hence the name of my company, the winged cat, designs by salems mom)....LOVE LOVE LOVE your pics, especially the one at the feeding station. Have a wonderful time with Lisa..hey have a couple of margaritas for me, im still on that crappy diet.

I know, they are so alike. Siamese are so fascinating, they have a whole other facet to their personalities it seems. Merle is amazing, I am very lucky to have a growing collection of her art.

Merle is so sweet and that is a beautiful tribute. I love the pictures of the room, you have a talent for decorating. Hope that Finny is OK, he seems like such a friend! Did the tourmaline arrive? And have a safe and wonderful trip!

I cannot wait either! Supposed to be in the high 50s next week and no rain. Or snow.

Cute critters and love Merle's portraits. Amazing how she captures them so well.
Will be thinking about Finny. Is this appt. after you return home?

i am so glad you like Athena's portrait! it looks great framed and next to Bone and the little "Swan". Athena speaks to me on so many levels-siamese, greek, all close to my heart for sure.

your new closet/dressing area is amazing! i love the persian look! you need a wonderful old dressing table filled with perfume bottles and jems! love those red curtains!

love the photos of the demon dogs! and of finny and bonny. wishing finny all the best with his teeth! hard stuff, just repeat, "a good dog parent does this..." over and over. i love finny so much and need to meet him! and what can i say about sidney? love! glastonbury likes to hide behid my computer because it is warm. he is so teeny though but has long legs like he is on stilts! he weighs like 8 pounds- little littles!

wishing you and missy medieval all the fun and creativity you can fit in to one weekend! wish i could be there for sure! if missy medieval snorts, falls down, trips, or something comes out her nose i must know!
